Condo renovations:

-Our condo has been entirely renovated. We have installed engineered hardwood floors throughout the unit. Walls were knocked down to create an open concept living space allowing light to flow in the entire apartment.

-We designed our kitchen to be practical and have enough space. We installed a marble brick-style white tiling for the backsplash and a nice white quartz countertop.

-The bathroom was renovated to have a stand-up shower with a shower column and a double vanity with a large mirror. We tiled the walls all the way up, so it is easier to clean.

-We managed to create space for a second room which we were using as an office space and currently as a baby room.

-We added sliding doors in the laundry room to create a utility closet along in the same space as the washing machine and dryer.

Why did you buy this condo? What do you like about it?

- We initially bought this condo because of its great location and proximity to Concordia University. We always enjoyed being in the area so living in the heart of downtown without the noise of the city was a huge factor for us. We have been able to enjoy all the perks of the area such as events at the Bell center, restaurants, night life, public transportation, walks to the Old Port etc.

-The fact that our building including the adjacent two are all connected with Le Nouvel Hotel was also intriguing. We can enjoy the hotel's dining hall for a fee whenever we do not feel like cooking along with car rental, accommodation services etc.whenever we have guests over.

Pros of your condo unit, environment of the building:

-Nice amenities in the backyard such as in-ground outdoor pool (open during the summertime) with BBQ area and proximity to several gyms. Front yard with gazebo and benches for outdoor relaxation.

-Entrances from both the Saint-Mathieu Street and Amesbury.

-Proximity to the highway and multiple metro stations. By living in this building, we have had the opportunity to enjoy all of the downtown Montreal has to offer such as festivals (Jazzfest, Francofolie etc.) fireworks, annual parades on St-Catherine Street. Most importantly the location has been extremely convenient in terms of our work/life balance.

-It is a clean building very friendly security and managerial staff, optional indoor monthly parking rental (also available for guests to pay and park when visiting). Condo fees include heating and electricity, so it is convenient to manage the monthly bills.
